Top honour for our community mental health professionals

SAAS paramedics and community mental health professionals are helping South Australians achieve sustainable long-term recovery from a mental health crisis by connecting them to community-based services instead of taking them to hospital emergency departments.

Mental Health Co-Response (MH CORE) has partnered paramedics with mental health professionals through a collaboration between SAAS and Central Adelaide, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.

The value of MH CORE has been recognised today by an Award for Excellence from the Council of Ambulance Authorities, so we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has played a part in this successful co-response approach.
