White Ribbon Accreditation at SAAS

SA Ambulance Service is committed to zero tolerance towards men’s violence against women in the workplace and the broader community, and since 2017 we have proudly been recognised as an accredited White Ribbon Workplace. White Ribbon Australia is part of a global social movement working to eliminate gendered violence and promote gender equality, with the vision of a nation free from all forms of men’s violence and abuse. White Ribbon provides workplaces, schools and communities with a robust framework that helps raise awareness and provide support to victims of gendered violence.

In June 2024 we embarked on the reaccreditation journey that involves aligning our current processes, procedures, and communication and training plans to the revised framework. Key changes during this process include the launching of a brand-new training package and the introduction of new managerial resources that will better empower our leaders and ultimately provide better support to our staff. We are currently on track and confident of achieving reaccreditation in 2025.
