Chris's Story

Returning home to South Australia

Chris, a Qualified Paramedic, originally from South Australia, trained as a Paramedic in Victoria, after a long and successful career as an engineer in the health sector. Chris recently returned to South Australia to work for SA Ambulance Service.

Here, Chris explains why he chose to come back to his home state to pursue a career with SA Ambulance Service.

“When you’re in a job that you love and when it’s one of the best jobs in the world, it no longer becomes work, but a lifestyle.

We have a new major hospital and many new ambulance resources allocated across metropolitan Adelaide.

It’s the perfect timing to either come home to South Australia, like I did, or to relocate and be part of a great organisation that’s experiencing a growth phase.”

“I would recommend any interstate or overseas experienced paramedics to apply for positions within SA Ambulance Service, especially those wanting to come and experience our great SA lifestyle. The job satisfaction that you get as a paramedic is outstanding. It is highly rewarding to feel like you are putting something back into the community. ”
